Retrofit barrel dramatically enhances
extruder performance and versatility
· The tapered cone head design allows the extruder to generate higher die pressures. This is critical when extruding small particle products such as fish foods and intricate shapes such as cat foods.
· The screws are segmented allowing individual components to be replaced rather the replacing the entire extruder screw. The screws are made of a hardened stainless steel alloy for maximum extended wear life.
· The segmented screw design also adds flexibility. By changing to different screw and shearlock designs, the shear rate of the barrel can be easily changed between runs. This dramatically expands the number of products that can be produced from the extruder.
· The E925 barrel conversion is larger in diameter and allows the production capacity of the machine to be increased.
